Italian Holidays and Historical Celebrations in Grado
Ferragosto
On the 15th of August Italy celebrates the assumption of Mary. It is the perfect occasion for coming together, dancing in the streets and watching the marvelous fireworks at sea.
Perdon de Parbana
The first Sunday of July is the most sought after celebration in Grado. In honours of the vergin Mary, all boats must be richly decorated, and sail to the island of Barbana where a historical mass is held. This historical celebration remembers the end of the pest in 1237.
Summer Solstice
21st of June is the longest day of the year, Grado celebrates with an inspiring concert at sunrise on the water. Music by Vivaldi and Albioni played by the Venecian Orchestra should mark an important passage in the solar year and bring happiness and prosperity to all.

SANCTUARY OF BARBANA
Come on board of the Barbana-Grado ferries to reach the majestic island of Barbana. Worldly famous for its rich history and absolute tranquillity, you will find peace and mindfulness here. The restaurant run by the monchs of Barbana is well known in our region, it offers delicious specialities of the sea and local quisine.
PORTO BUSO RESTAURANT
Before setteling for lunch, our taxi boat Mirko will show you the most cinematographic islands and canales of our lagoon. the once sailed root by the roman empire, is now a pictoresque water way used by fishermen and locals. On the island of Port Buso, the atmosphere is rustic and yet of high quality as it has been critically acclaimed in the culinary metier.
LAGOON EXPERIENCE
One sand patch layed by the heavens at the beginning of time, so do the countless legends aorund grado narrate. These islands are the barrier between open sea on the southern side and lagoon on the northern side. Pictoresque turquoise waters, with beautiful creeks and naturally formed canals that adjust during tides. It is a perfect spot for edventuring on the islands rich in flora and fauna, and take a dive in the cristall clear waters on the sea side.
The best way to reach these islands is by boat rental or taxi boat.

Visit one of the most pictoresque cities of Europe, and immerge yourself in the Italian lifestyle like nowhere else. Arriving at Trieste by boat just gives that extra feeling of nostalgia, of a time when life was slower.
Trieste's centre opens up with the largest and most imperial square of Eurpoe, right on the sea, and looking towards Grado. Just before Trieste's lively centre full of bars restaurnats and shops, we see the Castel of Miramare, which was residence to numerous illustrous guests from accorss Eurpoe, of which most famously the princess Sissi from Austria.

Golf Club Grado 18 hole course by the lagoon. With numerous water hazards naturally provided by location on the lagoon, and an island green, this course is one of the most challenging and enchanting of the Friuli region. Countless tournaments are held on the weekends, and players from all around Europe come every year to test their handicap anew.
